Sutter Creek, CA, March 20, 2007:  According to Eric Shippam, Director of the Amador County Telecommunications provider, "industry analysts say that VoIP phone service in the US and Canada  was expected to be nearly 5 million households/small businesses by the end of 2006 and to be well over 35 million by the end of 2009, an astounding 700-800% increase. The reason why so many households and businesses are making the switch is because VoIP providers save you money and offer more than traditional companies. Most VoIP companies provide the features that traditional phone companies charge extra for. Here are just a few of the free features included with most VoIP Providers."

"However, the leading carriers, Vonage and others, do not offer their services with local phone numbers in smaller markets, like ours, which impacts the value of the service - until now. Communications/Advantage, distributor for Web-Breeze Voice in Amador County, has solved the problem by securing local numbers or using the current number assigned to your phone. That way, callers who call you do so without expense even if they are not a subscriiber when dialing locally, and you get the benefit of local, long-distance and voice mail service at a flat price of less than $30. All you need is any high-speed internet service including Cable, DSL or Fixed Wireless Broadband. Here's more! Our VoIP phone service plus our high speed internet service can now be delivered for as little as $59.95 per month for residential customers and just a little more for businesses. That is less than what some carriers charge for flat rate calling plans alone. More information is available at our web-site at www.web-breeze.com"

What is VoIP?

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. It allows you to make phone calls over a data network, such as the internet. VoIP converts the voice signal from your telephone into a digital signal that travels over the internet, then converts it back at the other end so that you can speak to anyone with a regular phone.

What kind of equipment do I need?

An essential part of VoIP is a broadband connection, also knows as a high speed internet connection. This is required for anyone who is using a VoIP. This connection can be found through a cable modem, or a high speed service such as DSL, or Fixed Wireless Broadband. You can either hook a phone up to your personal computer or you can connect a phone through a telephone adaptor. Web-Breeze personnel will assist you in phone selection or connecting your current phone line to the Internet at no extra charge.

What is the difference between making local calls and long distance calls?

The difference is dependent upon your VoIP service provider. Web-Breeze Voice offers free calls to other subscribers within your service area and up to 1500 minutes of calling local and long distance to anywhere in the USA, anytime, for no additional fee. Calls to most of Europe and Asia are five cents per minute. It is all dependent on which plan you obtain from the VoIP provider.

Your provider may also allow you to choose an area code different from the one in which you live. This means that you may not incur any long distance charges if you call a number within your area code, no matter the actual geographical location in which you live.

What are the main advantages of VoIP?

One of the advantages of VoIP is that digital phone offers many additional features that a traditional phone is not equipped to offer. If you have a broadband internet connection, there is no need to pay the additional cost for a line just to make phone calls

A second advantage to VoIP is that you can talk to people around the world for as long as you want if they have an Internet connection. Also, you can talk with multiple people at the same time without any additional cost.

A third advantage to switching to a VoIP provider is it may significantly decrease the cost of your phone bill.

Can I use multiple phones with my VoIP service?

Yes. You can use multiple phones with your service. One option you have is some services allow you to hook your VoIP connection through your traditional phone lines running throughout your house. Another option is to purchase multiple jack extension to hook up more than one phone to a single VoIP line.

You can also purchase a WiFi phone from Communications Advantage and use it anywhere a WiFi connection exists - in your home, at the airport or in the Web-Breeze WiFi footprint that covers over 350 square miles in Western Amador County.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes! You can keep your local number or select a new number, if you prefer, only from Web-Breeze voice.

Will the VoIP phone line sound the same as my normal Phone Number?

Yes. Millions of dollars have gone into research and development by VoIP providers to ensure the best quality service possible. Providers are making certain that the phone quality is indistinguishable from your regular phone line. Most internet customers are not able to tell the different between their old phone lines and their new VoIP phone lines. Occasionally, you may experience some difficultly with your VoIP service due to a problem with your internet connection. This occurrence is extremely rare and customers usually experience a very small amount of downtime or interference.

Will VoIP save me money?

Yes! You may save a considerable amount of money over your traditional phone service. Generally, VoIP is much cheaper than conventional phone services. This is because of current government legislation tends to favors Internet phone companies over traditional phone line companies. As technology continues to grow and become more conventional, prices are expected to fall even more.

What about 911 Emergency Calling?

At Web-Breeze Voice, we provide a safe and reliable means of communication in times of emergency. Web-Breeze Voice 911 Dialing service operates differently than traditional 911and, because your safety is important to us, you'll have to fill out a short form during the sign up process that tells us the street address where you will be using your Web-Breeze Voice service.

Most of our customers (other than WiFi and Softphone customers) have access to either basic 911 or Enhanced 911 (E911) service. With E911 service, when you dial 911, your telephone number and registered address is simultaneously sent to the local emergency center assigned to your location, and emergency operators have access to the information they need to send help and call you back if necessary.

Remember that our 911 Dialing service will not function in the event of a broadband or power outage or if your broadband, ISP or Web-Breeze Voice phone service is terminated.
